Smart Virtual Classroom Project

This is the project of Ministry of Electronics and Information technology which aims to set-up Smart virtual classroom facilities in 3500 Government owned/controlled schools and 50 District Institute of Education and Training Institute(DIETs) in pilot states of Himachal Pradesh, Gujrat, Rajsthan, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana with the focus to improve the quality of education to students from remote/rural part of the country. The project also aims at creating technology enhanced classrooms that foster opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning by integrating learning technology, such as computers, electronics white boards, projectors, specialized software, interactive audio-video systems etc.

Smart Virtual Classroom project is being implemented in  the State of Himachal Pradesh by Education and Research Network (ERNET) on 24-11-2015. Number of schools covered is 280 and DIETs is 04 i.e. Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi and Solan.

 

DIET Solan is the centre location/Studio of 4 Districts i.e Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, Kinnaur. Our DIET have delivered regular sessions by using the SVC platform since 2017 and further planning to increase the daily sessions from DIET Solan.
